AI Insight Overview

AI Insight is an in-product assistant that helps you analyze reports, ask questions, and extract key findings from workflow results. It uses third-party AI models (OpenAI and Gemini) to provide context-aware assistance directly within Via Foundry.

Key capabilities (high level)

  • AI-powered report analysis: Summarize reports, answer questions, and extract key findings.
  • Conversation management: Create multiple chats, pin important conversations, search history, and rename/delete chats.
  • Model selection: Choose the AI model that best fits your task (for example, deeper reasoning vs faster responses).

Supported file types and limits

Format Maximum Size Description
PDF 15 MB Portable Document Format files with text content.
HTML 15 MB Web pages and HTML-formatted reports.
TXT 15 MB Plain text files and logs.

Accessing AI Insight

Using the global AI Insight button

Access AI Insight from anywhere in the platform:

  1. Locate the AI Insight button in the header at the top of the page (purple/blue gradient with sparkle icon)
  2. Click the button and select an AI integration token
  3. A drawer will open on the right side of the screen
Prerequisites

Before you can use AI Insight, you must create at least one AI integration token under Account → Profile → Integration Tokens.

Feature availability

AI Insight may require being enabled for your account. If the feature is not visible, contact your administrator.
