Contextual Apps in Via Foundry

Contextual Mode allows you to launch Apps directly from the Report Page of a completed pipeline run. This feature links Apps with specific pipeline outputs, providing a streamlined and context-aware analysis experience tailored to your workflow.

How to Launch an App in Contextual Mode

Launch Contextual App

Follow these steps to launch an App in Contextual Mode:

  1. Navigate to the Run Page: After the pipeline run completes, access the Reports tab on the run page.
  2. Select Report tab: After the pipeline run completes successfully, select the Reports tab on the run page.
  3. Select an Output: Identify the pipeline output you wish to analyze and select the "App View".
  4. Find an App: Select from the recommended Apps or the available App list dropdown.
  5. Interrogate Click the Launch App button to open the App in Contextual Mode, which will automatically load the associated data for analysis.

Setting Up Contextual Apps

When developing pipelines, you can configure outputs to be compatible with specific Apps. This configuration ensures that Apps are accessible directly from the Report Page, establishing a seamless link between pipeline results and analysis tools.
