Integration Tokens

Integration Tokens let you store credentials for external tools and services used by Via Foundry. Depending on your organization and enabled features, Integration Tokens may be used for:

• Source control integrations (for example GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
• Data integrations (for example BaseSpace)
• AI providers (OpenAI and Gemini) for AI Insight

Creating an AI integration token (OpenAI / Gemini)

1. Navigate to Account → Profile → Integration Tokens
2. Create a new integration token for one of the supported AI providers:
3. OpenAI: Requires an OpenAI API key
4. Gemini: Requires a Google Gemini API key
5. Save the token with a descriptive name so you can easily select it later in AI Insight.

No Tokens Available

If you see No AI integration tokens available when trying to use AI Insight:

1. Create at least one AI integration token in your profile
2. Add credentials for OpenAI or Gemini
3. Retry opening AI Insight and select the token you created

Security notes

• Treat provider API keys like passwords—store them securely and rotate them if they are exposed.
• Token usage costs are billed by your AI provider. See Best Practices and Costs.
